The Potential Wives of Norman Mao

I got an e-mail from filmmaker Derek Nguyen about his new short film The Potential Wives of Norman Mao. It’s a comedy about a guy who is searching for a wife with a little help from his parents who arrange for him to meet some “interesting” prospective brides. Wacky situations and humor ensue.

The film also has some notable people involved. For instance, writer Ed Lin stars in the lead role as Norman Mao. Actress Tina Chen has appeared in many movies like Alice’s Restaurant  (with Arlo Guthrie) and Three Days of the Condor. And George Takei (Sulu from Star Trek) is the executive producer.

The film is currently in post-production and needs funds to help complete the project.
